Security Operations Center Analyst

The Gist:

Cyber threat analyst role protecting U.S. Cyber Command infrastructure by detecting advanced threats in network logs and security data. Ideal for experienced incident responders with strong SIEM and networking skills.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Analyze logs, forensic data, and threat intelligence to identify advanced threats bypassing detection systems
• Perform complex incident response and threat identification using deep network understanding
• Review SIEM data, Nessus scans, firewall configs, and Linux systems for indicators of compromise
• Advise on network hardening and gap closure to prevent future attacks

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: High school diploma/GED with 6+ years incident response experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years incident response experience.
• Experience: 6+ years with incident response procedures and analysis (or 2+ years with Bachelor’s degree); SIEM fundamentals including Splunk; networking, Bro/Zeek, Suricata/Snort, Nessus, Linux CLI, and log analysis.
• Standout Qualifications: Experience correlating threat intelligence, AI fundamentals, Splunk Phantom or SOAR platforms.
