The Gist:
A 10-week summer internship rotating through three Treasury teams, managing global assets and financial markets for the World Bank Group. Ideal for penultimate-year undergraduates or current graduate students interested in development finance.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Rotate through three different Treasury teams over three-week intervals, working on specific projects assigned by each team
- Participate in weekly discussions with program director and technical sessions with Treasury officers and managers
- Present findings at the end of each rotation and deliver a capstone project to Treasury management
- Gain hands-on experience in asset management, capital markets, treasury operations, or related treasury functions
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Penultimate-year undergraduate student in finance, business, economics, or related field (graduating Dec 2027-Sept 2028), OR current master’s/Ph.D. student; must be in good academic standing.
- Experience: Demonstrated paid work experience, internship, or leadership in a financial organization or club is strongly encouraged; strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills required.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience with Python or specialized financial software (Bloomberg, World Bank/IMF databases); fluency in a second language is a plus; demonstrated interest in development work and highest ethical standards.
