Asian Disaster Preparedness Center
The Gist:
Design a complete competency-based flood water rescue curriculum and training package for India’s National Disaster Response Force, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and technical recommendations for training infrastructure. This is a curriculum development role, not a delivery role.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Develop a structured competency-based curriculum framework aligned with NDRF doctrine and international standards for flood water rescue operations
- Create comprehensive training materials (facilitator guides, participant workbooks, slide decks, exercise guides, and assessment tools)
- Provide technical recommendations for training facility design, simulation infrastructure, equipment, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with NDRF technical teams, subject matter experts, and the Training Academy architect on curriculum alignment and infrastructure requirements
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: Significant experience in curriculum design, instructional design, and flood/water rescue training program development for professional emergency response organizations.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience with competency-based training frameworks, emergency response organizations, Indian disaster management context, or international water rescue standards is a strong advantage.
Good Fit If:
You’re an instructional designer or training specialist comfortable translating operational expertise into structured learning materials. You thrive collaborating with government agencies and technical teams to build practical, standards-aligned training programs.
