The Gist:

Mines Advisory Group seeks a retired senior military officer to coordinate cooperation agreements and partnerships with Mexico’s defense and security ministries. This is a full-time liaison role based in Mexico City.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Draft and negotiate cooperation agreements (e.g., Memorandums of Understanding) with Mexico’s defense and navy secretariats and other security actors
  • Plan and facilitate meetings, information exchanges, and coordination between MAG and government security partners
  • Provide technical and regulatory advice to the Country Director on program implementation
  • Prepare activity reports, accountability documents, and presentations for leadership

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience: Must be a retired high-ranking military officer or former official from Mexico’s Defense or Navy secretariat.
  • Standout Qualifications: Prior experience with NGOs, international organizations, humanitarian sectors, or weapons/ammunition management is preferred; English fluency is desirable.
