Victim Services Caseworker

The Gist:

Help crime victims in the Phoenix area access resources, navigate legal systems, and recover from trauma. You’ll work for the IRC, a major refugee resettlement organization, supporting vulnerable populations through crisis intervention and case management.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Screen referrals, enroll eligible clients, and develop individualized service plans with safety planning and compensation support
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to crime victims and families, including legal rights education and problem-solving for barriers to access
• Build relationships with local law enforcement, social service agencies, and legal providers to coordinate care and identify underserved victims
• Track program data, maintain case files, and assist with outreach, training events, and program reporting

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Undergraduate degree in Human Services or similar field strongly preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Experience: 2+ years of related work experience including at least 1 year working with crime victims or vulnerable populations; case management experience preferred.
• Standout Qualifications: Bilingual ability in Dari, Spanish, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant languages used in Arizona; public speaking or database experience; cross-cultural competency.
