The Gist:
Lead technical implementation of IRC’s education program in Venezuela’s Zulia state, working with students, teachers, and local institutions in ethnic contexts. Ideal for educators committed to humanitarian response in emergency settings.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Design and deliver teacher training on socio-emotional learning, safe schools approaches, and child protection risk identification
- Strengthen non-formal community learning services aligned with INEE standards in areas where formal education is disrupted
- Build relationships with school administrators, teachers, and local education authorities to align program response with education policy
- Monitor program data, track participation, and contribute to monthly reports and CommCare documentation
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: University degree in Education, Pedagogy, social sciences, or related field (registered with public registry and Ministry of Education).
- Experience: At least 2 years implementing education programs, protection protocols, and associated services; demonstrated experience with remedial education and educational reintegration.
- Standout Qualifications: Prior experience in emergency settings or insecure environments; fluency in Wayuunaiki or Yukpa languages is desirable.
