The Gist:
Help refugees and immigrants resettle successfully by connecting them to housing, jobs, medical care, and other services. This role is for someone passionate about hands-on support and community advocacy.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Coordinate pre- and post-arrival services including housing, food, medical care, and orientation to help clients establish themselves
- Conduct intake assessments, develop personalized self-sufficiency plans with clients, and track progress toward their goals
- Build and maintain relationships with service providers, colleagues, and partner organizations to expand resources available to clients
- Document all client interactions in databases, manage case files, and contribute to program reporting
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience in human services required; experience with refugee or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
- Standout Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish, French, Arabic, Dari, Farsi, or Pashto is highly valued; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle access needed.
