Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Advisor

The Gist:

A 4-month maternity cover role at the Paris headquarters of an international humanitarian NGO. You’ll set strategy, build capacity, and ensure quality MHPSS programming across 22 countries.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Define MHPSS strategic priorities aligned with the organization’s integrated approach, coordinating with health and pharmacy teams
• Develop institutional frameworks and guides so field missions can integrate MHPSS into their strategies
• Provide technical and strategic support to country teams during project planning and implementation phases
• Participate in recruiting and training MHPSS, health, and coordination staff at headquarters and in the field

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in clinical psychology required.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years supervising or coordinating MHPSS technically on the ground with an NGO in emergency contexts; practical knowledge of project management, capacity building, stress factors, and team wellbeing initiatives.
• Standout Qualifications: Prior experience with Premiere Urgence Internationale, familiarity with PSP and mhGAP methodologies, and knowledge of transcultural or humanitarian psychology are strong advantages.
