The Gist:
Oversee humanitarian program implementation and local staff in Yemen for an international relief NGO. Ideal for someone with humanitarian project experience who can manage operations in a complex, insecure setting.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Design and plan projects, including needs assessments and baseline surveys
- Supervise program implementation, monitor activities, and collect verification data
- Manage program budgets, partnerships, and capacity-building plans
- Prepare reports for leadership and donors; troubleshoot delays and operational issues
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Sciences, Project Management, or similar field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of humanitarian work experience, with proven project management, strategic planning, and budget oversight skills.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience managing staff in insecure environments, working knowledge of French or Arabic, and familiarity with Logical Framework Analysis and project cycle management tools.
