The Gist:
Fill temporary country director gaps for an international humanitarian organization working on water, sanitation, food security, and shelter in 26 countries. You’ll be deployed as needed to lead operations in high-risk, access-constrained environments.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Represent Solidarites International to local authorities and external stakeholders in assigned countries
- Develop and implement mission strategy aligned with organizational charter, internal procedures, and donor contracts
- Oversee program implementation across water/sanitation/hygiene, food security, shelter, and cash-based interventions
- Manage in-country teams, coordinate security protocols, and liaise directly with headquarters
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: University degree, preferably a master’s in political science, international relations, or humanitarian aid.
- Experience: 5+ years in humanitarian sector plus 3-4 years in an equivalent country/operations director role.
- Standout Qualifications: Fluency in Spanish; proven track record strengthening local partnerships and managing operations in high-volatility security contexts with access constraints.
