The Gist:
Monitor vehicle and personnel movements, manage radio communications, and track security situations for a humanitarian NGO operating in Ukraine. Ideal for someone with radio or dispatch experience who can handle shift work in an active conflict zone.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Monitor and record movements of DRC vehicles and staff via radio and GPS tracking systems
- Collect hourly/daily location reports from trip and team leaders, then distribute to appropriate personnel
- Monitor verified information networks and alert groups; inform supervisors of security changes or incidents
- Conduct weekly equipment checks, brief staff before trips, and maintain contact databases
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Standout Qualifications: Radio operator experience, ability to work under pressure, strong organizational skills, and willingness to learn DRC systems are valued; a relevant degree or diploma is preferred but not required.
Good Fit If:
You’re detail-oriented, can handle shift work including nights, stay calm under pressure in an active security environment, and have good English proficiency and basic computer skills.
Languages:
Good proficiency in English required.
