SEED Madagascar
The Gist:
Lead grant writing, reporting, and donor compliance for SEED Madagascar’s agricultural development projects in rural Madagascar. This role is for someone with 1-3 years’ field experience who wants to drive funding and strengthen climate-smart farming initiatives.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Write and compile funding proposals and project reports that demonstrate impact, challenges, and budgetary clarity
- Manage donor compliance, track project milestones, and ensure proposals and reports meet high professional standards
- Support recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of junior staff and interns; foster cross-cultural collaboration between national and international teams
- Develop and maintain project management resources (templates, guidelines), assist with MEL tools, and oversee project website and social media
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in agriculture, rural development, food security, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years’ professional experience securing funding, managing projects, and handling donor compliance and reporting; proven grant-writing and proposal-editing skills; experience living and working in a developing country.
- Standout Qualifications: Familiarity with Logical Frameworks, Theory of Change models, and MEL frameworks; experience mentoring early-career professionals; proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office.
