The Gist:

A protection specialist role identifying and responding to child protection and gender-based violence risks in Venezuela’s humanitarian crisis. You’ll provide case management, psychosocial support, and community-based protection services to vulnerable populations.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Identify, assess, manage and follow up on child protection and gender-based violence cases
• Provide psychosocial support and psychological first aid to people with protection needs
• Facilitate safe referrals to specialized services in protection, health, legal support and social assistance
• Implement community awareness, prevention and strengthening activities on child protection and gender-based violence; conduct field visits and community activities

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, social sciences, or related field (professional credential required; psychology must be registered with national college/ministry).
• Experience: At least 2 years implementing child protection programs, response protocols and associated services; experience in case management for children and adolescents.
• Standout Qualifications: Experience in gender-based violence prevention programs, interinstitutional coordination, community work, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are valued.
