Consolidated Data Analytics Platform Elastic Engineer

The Gist:

Build and maintain Elastic Stack systems to aggregate and analyze security logs for threat hunting. You’ll design visualizations, manage infrastructure, and support clients in a defense contracting environment.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana systems
• Create Kibana visualizations, dashboards, and alerts using ECS-formatted data for threat hunting
• Manage log pipelines, convert raw logs to standard formats, and work with Logstash plugins and grok patterns
• Collaborate with vendors and teams to ensure system architecture meets security and compliance requirements

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 2+ years with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and 2+ years building Kibana visualizations; knowledge of log pipelines, cryptography protocols, and federal compliance standards (NIST 800-53, FIPS, STIG, FedRAMP).
• Standout Qualifications: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECK, NiFi, Kafka, regulated defense/intelligence environments, Index Lifecycle Management, Linux/UNIX, networking protocols, and Zero Trust Architecture is preferred.
