The Gist:

Lead medical operations for a nutrition and malaria program across health facilities in Niger’s Guidan Roumdji district. This role is for a physician ready to manage clinical quality, supervise health teams, and drive health outcomes in a resource-limited humanitarian setting.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Set medical objectives and intervention strategies based on needs assessments and epidemiological data; define required staffing, supplies, and infrastructure
  • Oversee daily medical activities, data collection, and quality metrics; run clinical review meetings (hygiene, quality, mortality reviews)
  • Supervise and train nursing and clinical staff; ensure adherence to ALIMA protocols and patient safety standards
  • Analyze performance data and activity indicators; prepare reports for coordination teams and adjust strategies based on results

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) required.
  • Experience: Experience managing clinical programs, supervising health teams, and working in resource-limited or humanitarian settings.
  • Standout Qualifications: Prior experience in nutrition programs, malaria treatment, maternal/child health, or operational research in sub-Saharan Africa is valued.
