The Gist:
Support IRI’s democracy-promotion mission by managing financial operations for international programs. This role processes expenses, prepares reports, and ensures funder compliance for a global development organization.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Review and process expense submissions, reconciliations, and vendor payments for assigned program portfolios
- Prepare financial reports required by funders and IRI management; ensure grant compliance with funder regulations
- Train program teams on financial policies and troubleshoot accounting problems across projects
- Maintain account reconciliations and assist with annual audits
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum one year in an accounting role; working knowledge of federal government circular 2 CFR 200; proficiency in accounting software (JAMIS Prime, Costpoint, or similar).
- Standout Qualifications: Experience with federal grants and OMB compliance is valued; creative problem-solving and initiative in developing best practices are preferred.
