The Gist:
Lead the operational, financial, and scientific delivery of a 3-year nutrition-vaccination integration project across DRC and Niger, serving ~360,000 children. This role is for someone who can manage complex health programs and coordinate teams across two countries from ALIMA’s Dakar headquarters.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Oversee all project implementation across DRC and Niger, managing a team of 3 coordinators at HQ plus field implementation teams in each country
- Develop and monitor action plans, budgets, and timelines; ensure contractual deliverables are met and quality standards upheld
- Coordinate with the national health authorities, donors (Gates Foundation), and international partners; represent the project publicly
- Lead documentation, evaluation, and advocacy strategy to demonstrate impact and secure follow-on funding for scale-up
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in management, public health, political science, development, or business.
- Experience: Demonstrated 5+ years as a project coordinator in low-income countries; proven experience with nutrition programs (especially SQ-LNS or ready-to-use therapeutic foods); experience supporting health authorities on nutrition and vaccination initiatives; familiarity with major donor procedures.
- Standout Qualifications: Prior experience managing scale-up projects or complex public health programs; advocacy skills with government health officials; strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
