Education Coordinator

The Gist:

Lead education project implementation for World Vision in conflict-affected Raqqa, Syria. This role is for experienced development professionals ready to manage programs, coordinate with local partners, and ensure quality education reaches vulnerable communities.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Oversee day-to-day education project activities, budgeting, and site monitoring in Raqqa
• Conduct needs assessments, design interventions, and coordinate with local education stakeholders and government
• Train World Vision staff and local partners on education models; supervise implementation quality and track progress against targets
• Collect monitoring data, document lessons learned, and report on safeguarding and program outcomes

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: University degree in education, social work, project management, community development, international development, child development, or related field.
• Experience: 4-5 years in education, child development, or community development; proven track record leading education programs in an INGO/NGO; experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, and training delivery.
• Standout Qualifications: EiE (Education in Emergencies) training or ToT certificates, strong contextual knowledge of Syria, and deep familiarity with local education actors and systems are desirable.
