The Gist:
Support the administrative and operational side of a German-funded initiative helping Syria’s political transition. You’ll manage grant applications, coordinate with applicants, and keep everything documented and on track.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Organize and administer calls for proposals-manage the project mailbox, compile applicant questions, run info sessions
- Register incoming proposals, review documentation, maintain the proposal database and tracking matrices
- Support the evaluation process by compiling proposals for assessors, tracking results, and preparing summaries for decision-makers
- Send correspondence to applicants on confirmations, clarification requests, and selection outcomes; organize workshops and trainings for selected partners
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma minimum; university degree in business, public administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Initial professional experience in project management, development cooperation, or administrative support to international programs; experience with competitive calls for proposals or grant mechanisms is a plus.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience supporting competitive calls, grant mechanisms, or project selection processes; knowledge of German.

You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines. You work well independently and with multicultural teams, and you’re fluent enough in English and Arabic to handle professional correspondence and coordination.
Languages:
Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic required; German a plus.
