The Gist:
Lead all mental health programming for Medecins du Monde’s Yemen mission, managing MHPSS integration across 29 health facilities and community networks in a severe humanitarian crisis. This role is for someone ready to drive mental health strategy and coordinate teams across multiple locations in a volatile operational environment.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the country MHPSS strategy and ensure activities meet international standards and cultural appropriateness
- Provide technical supervision and capacity building to MHPSS officers in Sana’a, Aden, and Marib, including training in PFA and PM+ approaches
- Coordinate with local authorities, NGO partners, UN agencies, and health teams to strengthen referral pathways and integrated service delivery
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation, donor reporting, and proposal development for MHPSS programming
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, or related field, complemented by MHPSS and project management training.
- Experience: Proven experience managing MHPSS programmes in humanitarian settings, including programme design, quality assurance, monitoring, and donor reporting; solid understanding of IASC and WHO MHPSS frameworks.
- Standout Qualifications: Knowledge of Arabic and prior experience working in Yemen are strong assets; comfort with donor engagement, budget management, and stakeholder representation across multiple locations.
