The Gist:
Lead resettlement casework services for refugees and immigrants at IRC, managing a small team while maintaining your own caseload. This role is for someone passionate about helping vulnerable populations navigate resettlement and achieve self-sufficiency.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Coordinate pre-arrival case preparation, airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, and other resettlement services
- Supervise and coach a team of caseworkers, assign cases, monitor compliance with program guidelines
- Maintain direct contact with 10-15 refugee and immigrant clients; assess progress and adjust service plans as needed
- Oversee case file documentation, ensure compliance with donor and organizational reporting requirements
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of case management experience in social services.
- Standout Qualifications: Bilingual ability (Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee language) and prior experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations.
