Field Coordinator Flying – Geneina, Sudan

The Gist:

Lead coordination and strategy for Solidarites International’s emergency response across Darfur, negotiating access with authorities and managing operations in one of the world’s most challenging humanitarian environments. You’ll be the on-ground representative in a security level 4 conflict zone.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Assess security conditions and map local actors shaping the operating environment
• Negotiate with authorities and partners for programme authorizations at local and national levels
• Design response strategies and HR structures for North Darfur operations
• Represent the country director in negotiations with authorities, partners, UN agencies, and donors

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Master’s degree in humanitarian response, international cooperation, development studies, political sciences, or related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years in the humanitarian sector with 3-4 years in a similar coordination role.
• Standout Qualifications: Arabic and French language skills are advantageous; prior experience in rapid needs assessment and conflict sensitivity in active emergencies is preferred.
