GOAL
The Gist:
Monitor and quality-check shelter and infrastructure rehabilitation projects in conflict-affected Syria. You’ll track construction, conduct technical assessments, and ensure contractor compliance on behalf of GOAL.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Conduct site visits, topographic surveys, and technical assessments for shelter and infrastructure projects
- Monitor daily rehabilitation and construction activities; inspect materials and verify contractor work quality
- Prepare engineering studies, project documentation, bills of quantities, and weekly progress reports
- Collect data for needs assessments and baseline studies; coordinate with local authorities and contractors on site issues
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Engineering diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil, architecture, topographic, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Experience: Minimum two years of shelter, WASH, CCCM, or infrastructure experience with an NGO; proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required.
- Standout Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, experience with GIS or mapping software, PMD certification, previous rehabilitation or cash-for-shelter project work.
