The Gist:
Support legal aid partners across project cycles-from design through reporting-by providing technical oversight, quality assurance, and capacity building. Best for someone with legal aid expertise who can mentor local organizations and ensure high-quality humanitarian legal services.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Guide partners through proposal development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting; coordinate with grants, partnerships, and finance teams
- Conduct legal research and analysis on civil documentation, legal status, and housing rights; develop quality standards, tools, and SOPs for partners
- Review partner reports and case management systems; identify capacity gaps and deliver training to strengthen partner performance
- Represent the HPH in legal aid coordination forums; document lessons learned and contribute to regional guidance and donor compliance reporting
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in legal aid, with documented technical competence and results in the humanitarian sector; experience in complex contexts, PCM management, and technical mentoring of civil society organizations.
- Standout Qualifications: Familiarity with North Africa context, fluency in Arabic and English, and experience working directly with local civil society organizations.
