Media in Cooperation and Transition
The Gist:
Support at-risk journalists and media professionals from conflict regions (especially Iran and Kurdish areas) who are part of MiCT’s fellowship program. You’ll be the on-ground liaison in Berlin connecting headquarters to fellows in crisis.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Act as primary contact between headquarters and fellows in emergency situations, coordinating timely support
- Handle administrative tasks, compliance, and financial processes for fellows seeking safety and assistance
- Support integration and administrative requirements for fellows arriving in Germany
- Monitor program activities and contribute to regional program development
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years providing emergency support, including psychological first aid training.
- Standout Qualifications: Fluency in Farsi is essential; additional languages and background in exile journalism, media freedom, or regional Iranian media contexts are valued.
