The Gist:

Freelance role coordinating support for at-risk journalists across West Asia under the MiCT Fellowship for Critical Voices program. You’ll be the operational hub between headquarters, fellows, and local partners.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Serve as primary liaison between HQ, Fellows, and implementation partners across 12 West Asian countries, managing communication and information flow
  • Step in to provide direct support to Fellows when local partners can’t, including case management and crisis response
  • Oversee local partners’ delivery on program requirements: secure communications, documentation, reporting, and compliance
  • Monitor and evaluate project activities; coordinate knowledge management and contribute to regional planning

What They’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years managing emergency support projects in West Asia; fluency in Arabic and working English required; experience with case management, psychological first aid, and crisis journalism contexts.
  • Standout Qualifications: Familiarity with exile and crisis journalism discourse, media freedom issues, and non-discriminatory development communication is preferred.
