One Acre Fund
The Gist:
Lead execution of One Acre Fund’s agroforestry program across four Malawi districts, managing field teams and data to scale tree-planting services to 1.5 million farmers. Ideal for someone with hands-on experience implementing tree-planting or agroforestry initiatives who thrives in field-based roles.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Recruit, train, and manage District Supervisors and field staff; visit field sites at least weekly to monitor performance and provide feedback
- Compile weekly field reports, coordinate team meetings, and communicate activity deadlines to ensure alignment across districts
- Design data collection tools, analyze KPIs, and reconcile seedling distribution data to identify improvement opportunities
- Support field team planning and resource allocation to prioritize high-impact activities
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Environmental Management, or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years implementing agroforestry programs or similar tree-planting initiatives.
- Standout Qualifications: Community dynamics knowledge, conflict-resolution skills, and proven ability to lead and mentor field teams across multiple locations.
