Content and Social Media Officer

The Gist:

Create and manage compelling stories and social media content documenting IRC’s humanitarian response to the Ukraine crisis for local and global audiences. Ideal for a communications professional with NGO experience who thrives in fast-paced, complex environments.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Manage and grow IRC Ukraine’s social media channels (especially Facebook) through strategic content planning, engagement, and performance tracking
  • Capture, curate, and produce original content-stories, photos, videos, articles-for both local and international audiences including donor reports
  • Coordinate content collection trips within Ukraine, managing logistics and collaboration with program teams to ensure impactful storytelling
  • Support media visits to program sites and ensure all communications align with IRC’s tone, values, and donor branding requirements

What They’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in international NGO communications; skilled in capturing content in challenging environments with knowledge of social media platforms and video/photo editing tools.
  • Standout Qualifications: Previous media experience, proficiency in Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects, and demonstrated ability to build and grow social media channels are valuable assets.
