Accountant

The Gist:

What You’d Be Doing:

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for public grant commodities
• Prepare and analyze accounting reports, aging schedules, and audit schedules
• Evaluate internal controls and processes; recommend improvements for compliance and efficiency
• Maintain regular accounting records and communicate with stakeholders on reconciliation issues

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent (eight years accounting work experience).
• Experience: Minimum one year of private/corporate or public accounting experience required.
• Standout Qualifications: Not-for-profit or public grants experience preferred; strong analytical and technology skills valued.
