The Gist:
Help newly arrived refugees in Phoenix find jobs and achieve financial stability. You’ll be the bridge between job-seeking clients and employers, managing the full employment journey from intake through job placement.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Assess refugee clients’ skills and develop personalized employment plans; provide job readiness training through group and one-on-one coaching
- Build relationships with local employers to identify job openings and match them with appropriate clients
- Guide clients through the hiring process, monitor job performance post-placement, and troubleshoot workplace issues
- Help clients apply for unemployment insurance benefits and maintain accurate program data and compliance reporting
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least two years of experience in case management, employment services, job placement, or business.
- Standout Qualifications: Knowledge of the Tucson job market (note: posting says Phoenix but mentions Tucson) and bilingual fluency in a predominant local client language are preferred.
