The Gist:
A 5-month consulting role supporting PAHO’s public health operations in Venezuela’s Zulia State through field coordination, project monitoring, and technical liaison work between local authorities and central office teams. Ideal for someone with health systems experience who thrives coordinating across multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Facilitate coordination meetings with local health authorities, technical partners, and community actors; provide technical assistance and articulation support across organizational boundaries
- Monitor project implementation against planned activities, timelines, and targets; track performance indicators and consolidate monthly technical progress reports
- Collect field-based intelligence on health risks, critical needs, and local priorities; systematize alerts and gap analysis for central office decision-making
- Coordinate logistics for field activities (trainings, visits, distributions) and document technical findings from joint monitoring visits
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: University degree required in health sciences or social sciences; specialization or master’s degree in health-related fields preferred.
- Experience: Required experience in interinstitutional coordination, public health systems knowledge, and project frameworks/indicators; demonstrated ability to systematize information and produce technical reports.
- Standout Qualifications: Master’s degree in health-related disciplines; familiarity with earthquake/disaster response contexts and displaced population health needs.
