The Gist:
Lead Acted’s humanitarian operations across a multi-sector program in Northeast Syria, managing staff, projects, and partnerships while ensuring quality delivery and strategic growth. Ideal for an experienced manager comfortable with complex contexts and senior-level responsibility.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Supervise Project Managers and oversee program implementation across WASH, shelter, livelihoods, and camp coordination sectors
- Represent Acted to local authorities, donors, UN agencies, and communities; identify new partnerships and funding opportunities
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality through field visits and performance reviews; troubleshoot implementation blockers
- Manage area operations including finance, logistics, HR, security, and compliance; ensure SOPs and safeguarding standards are followed
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: Extensive experience managing humanitarian programs in fragile/conflict settings, directly supervising teams, and working with donors and local stakeholders.
- Standout Qualifications: Background in Syria operations, water/WASH governance, climate-smart programming, or consortium/network coordination preferred.
