The Gist:
Lead gender-rights integration across Medicos del Mundo’s health programs in Sahrawi refugee camps in Tinduf, Algeria. You’ll embed human-rights and intersectional gender approaches into everything the organization does.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Integrate gender and human-rights frameworks into program strategy, project cycles, and monitoring systems across all camp initiatives
- Design and implement monitoring tools and mixed-method indicators that center gender and human-rights perspectives
- Advise teams to align programs with international conventions on women’s rights, sexual/reproductive health, and disability rights
- Train and mentor national staff and local partners, capturing lessons learned and building organizational knowledge on best practices
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or health; demonstrated training in human rights and gender.
- Experience: Two years in similar gender/human-rights coordination roles; project formulation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation experience; NGO sector background.
- Standout Qualifications: Specialized training or experience in protection, public health, international cooperation, or humanitarian aid valued; French and Arabic language skills a plus.
