Water & Infrastructure Coordinator

The Gist:

Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of water wells, sanitation, and community infrastructure projects across multiple countries for a humanitarian nonprofit. You’ll be the hub between contractors, field teams, government agencies, and donors.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Plan and evaluate water, sanitation, and infrastructure projects; review engineering designs, budgets, and implementation plans
  • Conduct site visits and technical assessments to verify construction quality, safety, and beneficiary impact
  • Manage contractor relationships and oversee procurement, performance, and quality assurance to keep projects on budget and timeline
  • Document progress, identify risks, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and engineering standards

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field required (international development considered with significant relevant experience).
  • Experience: Direct experience administering infrastructure, water, sanitation, or international development programs and budgets; strong understanding of WASH standards and community-based development approaches.
  • Standout Qualifications: Prior coordination of infrastructure, construction, WASH, or international development projects is preferred.
