Initial Resettlement Caseworker

The Gist:

You’ll help newly arrived refugees and immigrants settle into their new lives by connecting them with housing, healthcare, benefits, and other essentials. This is hands-on work combining office administration, community outreach, and direct client support.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Arrange airport pickups, housing, food, medical care, and orientation for newly arrived clients
• Assess client needs, develop individualized self-sufficiency plans with SMART goals, and distribute financial assistance
• Monitor client progress, refer them to services (medical, mental health, vocational), and document interactions in databases
• Build relationships with local service providers and community partners to support clients

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant human services experience strongly preferred; experience with refugee or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
• Standout Qualifications: Fluency in Dari, Farsi, or Pashto is desired; familiarity with ETO or similar case management databases is valuable.
