Intensive Case Management Caseworker

The Gist:

Help vulnerable refugees and asylees overcome barriers to safety and self-sufficiency through personalized case management and service navigation. This role is for someone ready to work directly with people facing trauma, displacement, and complex needs.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Assess client eligibility, develop individualized self-sufficiency plans, and track progress every six months
  • Help clients navigate healthcare, apply for benefits, schedule appointments, and access social services
  • Conduct community outreach, build networks with service providers, and respond to client crises
  • Maintain accurate case documentation in IRC’s database and provide client orientation on healthcare, transportation, and local systems

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of case management experience with similar populations required.
  • Standout Qualifications: Fluency in Dari/Pashto or other languages spoken by client populations is preferred; valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required.
