National Project Officer – Emergency Response

The Gist:

Join IOM’s roster of on-call emergency responders to support disaster and humanitarian operations in the Philippines. This is a flexible, short-term position where you’ll be deployed only when urgent staffing needs arise.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Coordinate operational, administrative, and financial aspects of emergency response projects
  • Monitor project implementation, identify gaps, and report progress to supervisors
  • Collect, verify, and analyze data; manage information systems and communications
  • Liaise with donors, UN agencies, government authorities, and humanitarian partners

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in political science, social sciences, international relations, development studies, migration studies, human rights, law, or related field; or Master’s degree in these fields.
  • Experience: Two years of relevant professional experience; experience liaising with governmental authorities and UN agencies; prior work with migrants, refugees, IDPs, or vulnerable populations.
  • Standout Qualifications: Extensive background in humanitarian or emergency response operations, experience with internally displaced persons and vulnerable groups, and prior work with international humanitarian organizations in multicultural settings.

Languages:

Fluent English or French or Spanish required; Tagalog required for this Philippines position.
