The Gist:
Lead and oversee humanitarian development projects in Madagascar for an international NGO. You’ll manage project teams, track implementation, and work with donors and local partners to deliver programs in education, water/sanitation, or food security.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Manage project leads and team members-briefing, planning, monitoring, performance reviews, and capacity building
- Develop operational strategy by analyzing context, assessing needs, proposing new activities, and liaising with donors and partners
- Oversee project implementation, track activities, and collect verification data
- Adjust budgets as needed and create presentation materials for stakeholders
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5 minimum) in humanitarian studies, rural development, agronomy, engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years managing or coordinating projects; background in education, WASH, or food security is required.
- Standout Qualifications: Strong skills in analysis, synthesis, and writing; fluency in French (written and spoken); proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
