The Gist:
Senior project coordinator for Ebola response in eastern DRC, overseeing risk communication and community engagement activities. Ideal for humanitarian professionals with health sector experience in emergency contexts.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor implementation of project activities aligned with CRS quality standards and donor requirements
- Supervise community awareness sessions, education activities, and behavior-change campaigns in targeted zones
- Build capacity of field teams, partners, and community leaders on key health messaging
- Ensure technical coordination with partners, local health authorities, and other actors for coherent project approaches
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in international development, public health, community health, humanitarian affairs, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years implementing health activities, ideally in emergency or epidemic contexts, with NGO experience and demonstrated community mobilization background.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience in multisectoral projects, risk communication and community engagement, and familiarity with the humanitarian context of eastern DRC strongly preferred.
