The Gist:

A project-based volunteer role supporting the State Department’s workforce development programs through digital media and storytelling. This is for current students seeking hands-on experience in communications and multimedia production.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Research career mobility programs and collaborate with program managers to develop key messages and identify target audiences
  • Create video concepts, storyboards, scripts, and short multimedia products using Department-approved editing tools
  • Design visual communications and promotional materials that align with branding and accessibility standards
  • Present completed multimedia portfolio and recommendations to office leadership

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited institution (trade school, college, university, or equivalent) for Spring 2027 and in good academic standing.
  • Standout Qualifications: Experience with video editing software, graphic design, or digital marketing is preferred.
