Technical Officer (Governance/EU Integration)

The Gist:

Support Ukraine’s health sector EU integration and accession process by coordinating between national authorities, EU institutions, and international partners. This role bridges WHO’s technical expertise with Ukraine’s governance priorities and EU alignment efforts.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Liaise with Ukrainian government, EU institutions, and donors to align technical assistance and financing (e.g., Ukraine Facility) with EU integration health priorities
• Track regulatory changes from Ukrainian ministries and parliament, assessing alignment with EU health requirements and accession chapters
• Prepare briefing materials and position papers for high-level bilateral meetings, missions, and progress reporting on EU accession
• Support Ukrainian health institutions in developing policies and strategies on governance, EU integration, and recovery with attention to equity and sustainability

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, political sciences, public administration, legal affairs, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years coordinating activities with partners, stakeholders, and donors in public health, health systems, or international development.
• Standout Qualifications: Prior experience with international organizations, WHO, or UN; familiarity with EU accession processes or EU-funded health programming.
