Donation Processing Specialist I (On Call)

The Gist:

Process incoming donor mail and contributions for a global Christian humanitarian organization. Ideal for detail-oriented people who want to support World Vision’s mission to fight poverty and injustice.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Sort, open, and categorize incoming donor mail using high-speed processing equipment (Opex, Olympus II machines)
  • Verify cash amounts, balance funds, and route checks/documents to appropriate departments following cash control procedures
  • Research donor accounts, complete address changes in accounting systems, and maintain logs of priority mail
  • Search returned picture folders for financial or confidential documents and ensure proper handling

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years practical experience in office administration, mail room, or related area; plus at least 1 year in remittance, accounts receivable, or cashiering with ten-key proficiency.
  • Standout Qualifications: Experience with remittance processing, mail equipment operation, and demonstrated attention to detail in financial tasks are preferred.
