The Gist:
Support government and policy engagement for a social innovation initiative across Pacific Island countries. Ideal for someone with existing ties to the region and interest in cross-sector collaboration.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Build and maintain relationships with government officials, ministries, and regional bodies like the Pacific Islands Forum and Pacific Community
- Develop regional engagement strategy, monitor policy trends, and identify priority countries for social innovation work
- Research, write policy recommendations, and represent the organization in government consultations and multilateral forums
- Coordinate with partner organizations, donors, and social innovators to identify collaboration and funding opportunities
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, international relations, development studies, political science, or related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years in public policy, government affairs, or international development; strong familiarity with Pacific Island political and socio-economic contexts highly desirable.
- Standout Qualifications: Prior experience working with Pacific Island ministries, regional organizations like the Pacific Islands Forum or SPC, or existing professional networks in the region are strong advantages.

Languages:
Fluent English required; UN languages or Pacific regional languages a plus.
