The Gist:
Lead disaster recovery program implementation in Timor-Leste for a regional international organization. You’ll coordinate with government and local partners to strengthen national systems for faster, more inclusive disaster recovery.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Liaison between ADPC project team and Timorese government agencies, Civil Protection Authority, and local stakeholders to coordinate program delivery
- Conduct field assessments, consultations, and after-action reviews to generate recovery readiness reports, roadmaps, and financial preparedness plans
- Organize and facilitate national workshops, trainings, and stakeholder consultations on disaster recovery and emergency public financial management
- Prepare technical documentation including capacity assessments, case studies, workshop reports, and progress updates for the project team
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in disaster management, public administration, social sciences, or related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in disaster recovery or public sector coordination, with demonstrated ability to liaise with government at multiple levels and organize workshops and field assessments.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience with international organizations, UN agencies, or development partners; knowledge of humanitarian-development nexus; strong networking capacity in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.

Languages:
