The Gist:
Be the backbone of a U.S. embassy or consulate abroad-handling scheduling, budgets, events, records, and day-to-day operations that keep diplomacy running. Ideal for organized, adaptable professionals ready to work globally and support senior officials.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Manage calendars, arrange meetings and VIP visits, process travel and expense vouchers
- Plan and execute official events, oversee office supplies, budgets, and attendance records
- Draft diplomatic correspondence, prepare reports and presentations, facilitate document clearances
- Provide IT support, troubleshoot software/hardware, train staff on new technologies and procedures
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma/equivalent plus 3 years relevant experience, or associate’s degree plus 2 years, or bachelor’s degree plus 1 year (within last 10 years).
- Experience: At least 60% of your recent work must be administrative-managing schedules, events, budgets, records, or office operations.
- Standout Qualifications: Foreign language skills, IT troubleshooting expertise, experience with knowledge management systems, or background working in multicultural teams.
