Movement in Refuge
The Gist:
Help grow sports and movement programmes for conflict-affected refugees in Bangladesh by building partnerships, raising awareness, and developing curriculum in your area of expertise. For people genuinely connected to chess, ocean sports, roundnet, yoga, or youth engagement.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Build relationships with clubs, federations, studios, schools, or online communities relevant to your chosen track
- Identify partnership, sponsorship, and equipment donation opportunities within your sport or community
- Contribute to programme development, curriculum design, and coaching resources
- Create content and represent MiR at relevant events, tournaments, or gatherings
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience: Genuine, practical connection to your chosen track-e.g., chess player, swimmer/surfer, roundnet player, yoga practitioner, or experience engaging schools and young people.
- Standout Qualifications: Field visit to Cox’s Bazar strongly recommended for Ocean Sports and Swim tracks; access to MiR’s network of UN, academic, and civil society partners.
Good Fit If:
You’re passionate about using sport to support people affected by conflict and displacement, and you have a real, specific connection to the sport or community you’d be working with. You’re comfortable with remote, flexible work (5-20 hours/week) and want hands-on experience in international development and partnership-building.
