Hospital Management and Partnership Referent

The Gist:

Lead MSF’s strategy for managing hospitals in partnership with Ministries of Health in low-resource settings, and strengthen hospital operations across MSF projects. You’ll develop frameworks, train teams, and advise on everything from negotiations to staffing models.

What You’d Be Doing:

• Design MOH collaboration frameworks, partnership agreements, and decision-making guidelines for when to engage or exit partnerships
• Develop incentive packages, negotiation training, and monitoring tools for MOH partnerships with country and hospital teams
• Build hospital management expertise by creating governance tools, training materials, and guidance on capacity, staffing, and ancillary services
• Conduct project visits to evaluate hospital operations and provide on-site support on efficiency, organizational structure, and transition planning

What They’re Looking For:

• Education: A degree in Management, Hospital Management, Healthcare Management, Health Policy, or International Relations is a strong asset; no specific degree required.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years managing hospitals or coordinating hospital-related projects, 2 years with MSF or equivalent medical humanitarian work, and experience negotiating with Ministries of Health in low-resource settings are all required.
• Standout Qualifications: Experience developing guidance documents and training materials, or working across multiple MSF operational centers, is preferred.
