The Gist:
Process incoming donor mail and contributions for a global Christian humanitarian organization. Ideal for detail-oriented people who want to support World Vision’s mission to fight poverty and injustice.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Sort, open, and categorize incoming donor mail using high-speed processing equipment (Opex, Olympus II machines)
- Verify cash amounts, balance funds, and route checks/documents to appropriate departments following cash control procedures
- Research donor accounts, complete address changes in accounting systems, and maintain logs of priority mail
- Search returned picture folders for financial or confidential documents and ensure proper handling
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: 2-3 years practical experience in office administration, mail room, or related area; plus at least 1 year in remittance, accounts receivable, or cashiering with ten-key proficiency.
- Standout Qualifications: Experience with remittance processing, mail equipment operation, and demonstrated attention to detail in financial tasks are preferred.
