Ethics Program Specialist

The Gist:

Manage financial disclosure data systems and review ethics filings at the State Department. This role supports the ethics compliance program across the entire federal agency.

What You’d Be Doing:

  • Manage and maintain financial disclosure databases (FDM, FDTS, Integrity.gov), extracting data and generating reports
  • Review financial disclosure forms for accuracy, completeness, and potential conflicts of interest
  • Advise bureau leadership and counselors on ethics policies, filing deadlines, and employee questions
  • Research and assess confidential information to support compliance functions

What They’re Looking For:

  • Education: Master’s degree, or 2+ years of graduate study, or J.D./LL.B.; or high school diploma with sufficient specialized experience.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of specialized experience managing electronic tracking systems, reviewing documents for compliance, conducting regulatory research, and communicating program requirements to stakeholders.
  • Standout Qualifications: Experience with federal ethics or financial disclosure programs, familiarity with government databases, or background in compliance/legal work is preferred.
