The Gist:
Lead technical health services quality across Red Cross national societies in Latin America and the Caribbean. You’ll strengthen health programs, align approaches across organizations, and ensure compliance with WHO, Sphere, and donor standards.
What You’d Be Doing:
- Strengthen technical quality of health services at partner Red Cross national societies against international standards (WHO, Sphere, DG ECHO requirements)
- Harmonize health approaches, processes, and tools across national societies in the region
- Support healthcare worker safety and protection, and integrate gender, protection, and accountability into health interventions
- Guide epidemiological data collection, analysis, and surveillance for communicable diseases, maternal-child health, mental health, and nutrition
What They’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in health or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: At least one year implementing and technically supervising health actions in humanitarian or development contexts, with knowledge of humanitarian health standards (WHO, Sphere) and public health in humanitarian settings.
- Standout Qualifications: Red Cross movement experience, prior work in Latin America, familiarity with DG ECHO donor requirements, or expertise in health in conflict and access-constrained settings are valued.
